A safe environment for fun and learning…

Yehudi Menuhin School

A supportive and friendly team

location

Our course is held in the prestigious Yehudi Menuhin School, under an hour’s journey time from Central London.

Throughout the course, the Philomel Music Academy has exclusive access to the school’s world class, stunning music facilities.

The school was established in 1963 by celebrated violinist Yehudi Menuhin to provide a place for musically-gifted children from around the world.

Our students will walk in the footsteps of talented alumni such as violinists Tasmin Little, Nicola Benedetti and Alina Ibragimova, cellists Colin Carr and Paul Watkins, pianists Melvyn Tan, Kathryn Stott, Charles Owen and Paul Coker.

accommodation

Whilst we can accommodate day pupils, the course is designed to be a week-long residential experience.

Pupils have their own study bedroom in a modern, comfortable boarding house.

covid-19

The Philomel Music Academy and Yehudi Menuhin School will take all reasonable precautions to ensure the environment is COVID-secure. However, we cannot eliminate the risk of transmission of COVID-19.

pastoral care

The Philomel Music Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students. All our staff are CRB-checked.

In addition to the teachers, we have a small and trusted team of pastoral staff to ensure that the students are well looked-after and happy at all times.
